BETTER THAN EVER

Label: Fivepenny Piece FP2501

Release Date: 1999

Line Up:  Eddie Crotty, George Radcliffe,  Andrea Mullins,  Alan Taylor, John Eatock

Running Time:  51 minutes

This album is undated but was probably around the year 1999 on the band’s own Fivepenny Piece label.  It was released on CD only and sold at gigs.  The latest  incarnation of the group re-visited some popular songs from the Fivepenny archive such as 'Where There's Muck There's Brass', 'Affluence', 'Fine Feathers' and 'Look Into My Eyes'.  Along the way there are also versions of such evergreens as 'Wild Rover',  'The Water Is Wide',  'Lord Of The Dance' and 'Pal Of My Cradle Days'. This CD has become quite collectable due to not being widely available through record shops.  It marks the end of the recording career of Fivepenny Piece as a working entity.
