ON STAGE AGAIN

Label: EMI One Up OU 2193

Release Date: October 1977

Running Time:  53 minutes

The group's second live album saw them return in triumph to the Broadoak Hotel.  The group positively flourishes in a live setting and it is clear that the Broadoak audience are loving every minute.  Among the covers are Jake Thackery's 'Bantam Cock' (a moment for George to shine),  future group member Bernard Wrigley's  'Our Bill and the Concrete Mixer' whilst a cover of Ewan McColl's 'Dirty Old Town' reminds us that when it comes to folk music,  Fivepenny remain second to none.  Among the Meeks and Radcliffe offerings is 'Big Jim Meets Nessie', an update on events with our favourite giant worm.  'Lancashire My Lancashire' finishes off the recording in what could be seen as a national anthem for the county,  but strangely misses the mark a little.

Producer:  FIVEPENNY PIECE

Drums:  Phil Barlow

Recording supervision:  Peter Tattersall
