Release Date: 1973

The People Tree was a song from the musical The Good Old, Bad Old Days, and had already been recorded and released by its writer Anthony Newley. This is a somewhat unusual choice of material for The Fivepenny Piece (which would suggest that it was a EMI label decision!), and although this was released as a single but has never appeared on any Fivepenny Piece album.
