WATERCOLOUR MORNING / OLD ENGLAND

Label: EMI 2485

Release Date: 18 June 1976

A pair of Meeks-Radcliffe songs were the choices for the single from the highly successful King Cotton album. Watercolour Morning was released ahead of the album – which would eventually hit the Top 10 of the UK Albums Charts – but the single was destined to fail on its own.

Interestingly, this is the first release of the bands (post-1972) to not be produced by Bob Barrett, the band decided to produce their own recordings and this seemingly worked very well.

Side 1

  1. Watercolour Morning (John Meeks – Colin Radcliffe)

Side 2

  1. Old England

Arranged by Harry Robinson, produced by The Fivepenny Piece.
